I have owned this piano for five years. The person from whom I bought it told me that it had been rebuilt in the early 1990. I do not know the extent of the work that was done but the piano overall is in very good shape with no cracks in the soundboard, etc. The hammers and felts definitely do not appear to be 96 years old (perhaps 20). The key tops are not ivory so they were definitely replaced at some point but are not new. The piano was moved here from Virginia in April and was stored for a while. It has not been tuned nor has it had any other work done since setup. When in tune, it has a very warm and rich tone for a relatively small grand. It has been a treasured antique in my home but I rarely play anymore. The case is beautiful flamed wood and should complement any decor.
